Job Description Job Title:Privacy Security SpecialistLocation: The Pentagon Job Description:ASRC Federal Professional Services is seeking a dynamic self-starter with experience in Privacy Act enforcement, awareness, protection and maintenance to support the Pentagon's Joint Service Security Office (JSSO) in its Privacy mission. The Joint Staff must ensure that personal information contained in any system of records maintained by the Joint Staff is protected from unauthorized collection, use dissemination, and/or disclosure.The Privacy Specialist assists the JSSO with Privacy Act policy and procedures that align the Joint Staff (JS) with DoD Directives and Regulations. The contractor shall develop recommendations for Government approval to update Joint Staff Privacy Program policies and procedures by supporting the following Privacy related tasks: Program Management and Policy Support System of Records Notices (SORNs) Support and MaintenancePrivacy Impact Assessments (PIA) PreparationBreach Reporting Privacy Act Training Metrics and Best Practices developmentRequirements RequirementsApplicant must possess knowledge of, and experience with, Privacy Act requirements, policies, and regulations and have the skills and abilities to enable successful accomplishment of the JSSO's assigned Privacy act mission. Applicant must have knowledge and an understanding of security concepts, principles, and practices necessary to review, analyze, and resolve complex issues. Applicant must possess the skills in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating Privacy security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the overall Privacy security program; as well as the ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.This position requires a working knowledge of the US Government Security Programs, with special emphasis on the understanding of various phases of security programs and implementation. Applicant must be able to make complete and correct security determinations within the realm of assigned responsibility and specialty.Education/Experience:Applicant must have 6-8 years of Privacy Act experienceMust have current active TS clearance with SCI eligibility requiredASRC Federal and its Subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employers.
