Our work depends on a SharePoint Administrator joining our team to support our customer in Annapolis Junction, MD.The SharePoint Administrator is responsible for providing technical support for the program. Serve as the SharePoint Administrator while providing direct support to the customer. Work closely with team members on various projects. Develop expertise in the client's functional missions.Duties include but are not limited to farm resource management (disk, memory, etc.), farm configuration management (thresholds, building new elements such as web apps or site collections, etc.), service application management (ie ability to install / configure all of the numerous service apps), security / patching, analysis / reporting, documentation of all architectures and procedures, and troubleshooting any issues arising from the infrastructure.These responsibilities include 24x7 on-call support. Additional duties include assisting users in the use and/or troubleshooting of all aspects of the SharePoint portals.WHAT YOU'LL NEED:Active TS/SCI with current PolygraphBA/BS and 5 years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of experience and educationLevel II 8570 Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)Manage the functionality and efficiency of a SharePoint farm, site collection, and assist other Site Collection AdministratorsBasic knowledge and understanding of SharePoint infrastructure technologies such as database, network, security, server, storage, and workstationsSharePoint - knowledge of SharePoint versions 2013, and 2016Intermediate PowerShell scripting experienceCommunicate all system outages to the 24x7 operations center.Provide advice, guidance and training to end-users and less-experienced staff members on the correct and appropriate use of the SharePoint functions and capabilities.Configure administrator and service accounts.Coordinates hardware and software installation and provide backup recovery.Develop and implement testing strategies and document results.Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.Understanding of STIG application and system hardening, file system structures, and machine architectures related to SharePoint.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsWeb Applications - troubleshooting configuration, Security, and performance issuesExperience with server virtualization (VMWare or Microsoft Hyper-V preferred)Solid work ethic and the ability to work in a mission critical environmentDetail oriented and organized; able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of workWHAT GDIT CAN OFFER YOU:401K with company matchCustomizable health benefits packagesCollaborative teams of highly motivated critical thinkers and innovatorsInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your careerRewards program for high-performing employeesCWIP - IAT level II Compliance:Persons provide network environment (NE) and advance level compute environment (CE) support. Responsible for finding and fixing unprotected vulnerabilities and ensuring that remote access points are well secured. Focuses on threats and vulnerabilities and improving the security of systems. Demonstrates a mastery of the functions of the IAT Level I position. Monitors, tests and troubleshoots hardware and software IA problems pertaining to the network environment. Recommends and schedules IA related repairs to include performing IA related customer support functions such as installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, in response to customer requirements for the network environment (NE). Analyzes patterns of non-compliance and identifies vulnerabilities resulting from a departure from the implementation plan or that were not apparent during testing. Provides leadership and direction to IA operations personnel. Implement applicable patches including IAVAs, and IAVBs for their environment.
