Internal Communications & Engagement Manager Reporting to the Director of Marketing Communications, this mid-level candidate is responsible for creating, managing and executing integrated internal communications initiatives and activities. The Internal Communications and Engagement Manager will leverage internal channels to strengthen the organization's ability to connect with team members and create a positive culture that supports performance and productivity. Additionally, this role will play a critical role in the content development and maintenance of the corporate intranet site to ensure the tool increases employee awareness and engagement. He/she will support internal clients in the areas of change management, employer brand development, diversity, equity and inclusion, communications and events. Events will range widely and may include corporate picnics, holiday parties, happy hours, in-house celebrations, and panel presentations. The Internal Communications and Engagement Manager will have responsibility for the development, execution, and success of the events, including budget development, and pre- and post-event management. He/she will collaborate closely with internal teams including HR, graphics, and corporate responsibility to create engaging and interactive end-to-end event experiences. All work for this position requires strong writing skills, sound professional judgment and discretion, outstanding relationship management and the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate is creative and collaborative and will be a solutions-oriented self-starter with the desire to grow. Responsibilities Work collaboratively with the Marketing Communications Director and Branding Manager to develop the team members communications campaigns; ensure alignment and consistency of messaging throughout the organization; develop copy and creative direction; monitor metrics and analytics of internal channels Work with Marketing Communications Director to implement internal communications strategy Work with Communications and Human Resources teams to develop a team member engagement plan that fosters commitment and connection to the organization Collaborate with branding and graphics team members to develop targeted email blasts and direct mail communications for corporate announcements, special events, promotions etc. QC all outgoing communications including intranet content, email blasts and newsletters before distribution Measure and monitor the quality, effectiveness, and ROI of communications strategies and tactics; provide recommendations for improvement Oversee and manage the corporate intranet (Blueprint) including development of creative content Develop and manage the corporate blog, including the creation of content Provides crisis communication support and coordination Manage the events calendars, ensuring internal coordination with leadership schedules and minimizing conflicts with industry events, holidays, etc. Work closely with the in-house design team and/or marketing agencies to develop branding and graphics Conduct the RFP process, vendor selection, and vendor management for vendors including promotional items, photographer/videographer, event firms, floral, catering, A/V, furniture and decor, labor, entertainment, etc. Collaborate with the branding and communications team to position and document events to be used for PR and marketing collateral including social media Lead pre-event management including, but not limited to, project plan creation, event objectives / themes / content documentation, action list management, agenda development / show flow, and core team communications Lead on-site execution including pre- and post-event management (logistics, rehearsals, presenters), evening events, and ancillary meetings Limited domestic travel may be required Qualifications Minimum Qualifications and Requirements (combination of education and experience as outlined below): Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, English or related fields. 5-7 years' experience in a communications or marketing role. Experience in a fast-paced B2B or professional services national or global corporation; architecture/engineering/construction (AEC) experience preferred, but not required. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required. Exceptional oral, editing and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required; proficiency in Adobe CC a plus Working knowledge of SharePoint, My Emma, Event Brite and other email campaign platforms Ability to manage senior-level stakeholders and align event content / expectations accordingly The ability to create event experiences with meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational expertise to deliver measurable marketing results is required Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects with changing priorities Strengths in implementing process, creating efficiencies, and negotiating on behalf of the firm Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex projects across a variety of functions HITT Contracting Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer - Minorities/Females/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
