Responsibilities: CCTV Network Engineers are responsible for configuring and maintaining day to day operations of a closed IP network that transmits audio/video, data, and VoIP over Satellite and Fiber Optic communications. Must be able to: Set up and run IP video broadcasts through video encoders for live video events and monitor video and audio health. Additionally, be able to complete electrical wiring, programming, and troubleshooting of A/V equipment and have a clear understanding of encoding standards. Set up and monitor network devices in real time with SolarWinds Network Monitoring software and quickly analyze and troubleshoot transmission issues. Provide solutions for network connectivity and document technical problems, resolutions, and update Standard Operating Procedures. Manage Static and Dynamic Routes (OSPF) and implement and troubleshoot IPSEC VPN connections and Encryption on Network Equipment as well as configure and manage encrypted links over Satellite and Fiber connections. Install media equipment such as TVs, Projectors, Speaker Systems, and monitoring equipment and perform initial trouble shooting of electronic equipment. Conduct Quality Control Analysis on IP and A/V Systems. Required Skills and Qualifications: CCTV Network Engineers should have technical experience in installing, operating, and maintaining: Cisco Network Routers and Switches Voice over IP (VoIP) Phones Video Encoders and Decoders Audio/Video equipment including TVs, Projectors, Speaker systems, Distribution Amplifiers, and monitors Strong computer background and knowledge of various types of software and hardware such as Cisco Systems, SolarWinds Network Monitoring Software, and Network Security Software. High level of proficiency with Widows 7, Windows 10, and Linux CLI Operating Systems. High level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. Required Experience: Secret Clearance Required. Minimum of five (5) years' experience in IT support, Network technical support, or Telecommunications. Ability to travel over 75%. Desired Experience: Cisco Certification (CCT, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE). Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Experience. Experience installing, maintaining, and operating Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) Satellite Equipment (Satellite Dish, modem, BUC, LNB). Knowledge of satellite communications and the ability to set up Satellite Terminals to establish two-way communication between network locations. Maintain and monitor existing Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSAT) in the field. Desired Education: Associates or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Network Engineering field preferred or related IT certifications.
