Learn more about this agency ResponsibilitiesServes as the Information Management Officer/Asset Manager for the Future Operations Branch, Marine and Family Programs Division (MF), supporting the information management and technology needs for division employees and executive staff to include Family Care, Family Readiness, Personnel & Professional Development, Program Assessment, Military Personnel Services, Behavioral Programs, Semper Fit, Internal Controls, and activities worldwide. Stays current with MCEN, G-6 MCI-National Capital Region information system, changes and updates. Coordinates work priorities in cooperation with and reports to Innovation/IT Modernization/CIRRAS Section Head. (80%) Serves as the Information Manager for MF Division. Develops and publishes the MF Division Information Management Plan (IMP). Assists the MF Division Chief of Staff in the development and publishing of the MF Division Battle Rhythm and information flow matrix. Conducts business process analysis for systems and procedures across MF Division in order to formalize, optimize and possibly automate information flow. Implements access controls and electronic records management procedures across multiple data networks. Manages and organizes MF Division information and database needs. Provides the MF Division Chief of Staff a weekly update of information requirements that may need network infrastructure support to increase the efficiency of sharing of information.Supports the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of the MF division dashboard and IT requirements. Serves as the liaison between the Marine and Family Program Division (MF) M and other Commands to support system requirements and capabilities. Monitors reporting systems capability, QA standards, and technical requirements. Serves as part of the Functional Advocate Team for the Command Individual Risk Resiliency Assessment System (CIRRAS) when needed. (20%) Serves as Information Technology Asset manager for MF Division. Ensures daily management to include: tracking IT equipment, orderings supplies, coordinating IT needs with new hires, management and staff. Ensures each workstation has a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, hard drive, and any additional specialized equipment. Maintains inventory of all equipment, peripherals, software and software licenses. Monitors timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required by MCEN, G-6 MCI-National Capital Region for technical refresh. Proficient and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suites to transmit correspondence create reports, databases (ie property/asset accountability systems, case management systems, ticketing systems), spreadsheets, graphics, slide shows, and presentations. Manipulates data to meet presentation and report requirements. Serves as one of MF's Accountability Property Officers for Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS). Develops tracking and asset management databases and analyzes processes to ensure fiscal responsibility. Identifies, develops and implements procedures to determine processes within NEXGEN. Coordinates IT budgeting needs for the division and deliver to the annual Program Evaluation Board (PEB) for approval. Liaise with other sections and branches including Information Technology to solve operational problems; confer with systems, programming, and operational personnel to coordinate activities to minimize operational problems, confer with Functional Systems Section Head to establish priorities and set deadlines; maintain records and prepare correspondence and reports; attend meetings. Troubleshoots customer and system problems and issues; provide technical support to internal and external customers.Plans, organizes work and manages internal resources to ensure maximum productivity and economies. Prepares internal documentation. Monitor programs on a regular basis, and initiates corrective action to ensure support of operating programs of MF Division. Develops long-range plans in conjunction with internal operating directives. Performs work that involves the planning and delivery of customer support services, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, and/or training, in response to customer requirements. Works collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals, shares credit for team accomplishments and accepts joint responsibility for team shortcomings.Adhere to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Adhere to safety regulations and standards. Use any required safety equipment, and observe safe work procedures.
