Job Details

You can be an important part of our growth by taking on the role of Manager, Sales Operations. This role oversees support functions essential to sales force productivity. These include reporting, planning, sales process optimization, sales program implementation, and sales compensation design including quota setting and administration. Reporting to the Vice President, Sales Operations, the Manager, Sales Operations also works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities within the sales organization are supported.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Managing the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organization. Recommends revisions to existing reports, or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed.
  • Coordinating sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes used within the sales organization. Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization's planning efforts. As needed, coordinates planning activities with other functions and stakeholders within the firm.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for sales process improvement. Works closely with sales management to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement. Assists sales management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies. Facilitates an organization of continuous process improvement.
  • Directing the use of enabling technologies, including CRM, for the field sales teams. Monitors the assigned sales organization's compliance with required standards for maintaining CRM data. Works closely with sales management to optimize the effectiveness of the firm's technology investments.
  • Building peer support and strong internal-company relationships with other key management personnel.

Required education and experience for this role includes:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • 2-3 years of Salesforce experience as a Salesforce administrator.
  • Prior experience with all of the key processes in a software sales organization
  • Proven success designing and implementing solutions on the Salesforce platform
  • Proficiency in computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point).
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills--ability define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical issues and resolve problems at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience documenting and analyzing processes, procedures, and/or policies.

The position is based in our Tysons Corner, Virginia office.
