Product Manager - Enterprise Business Intelligence

Our Digital Product Platform team is selectively recruiting a high energy, forward-thinking Digital Product Manager to lead Data Usage Experiences, a core component of our future data ecosystem.

We look for people who obsess over removing friction from the overall consumer experience and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment driven by both analysis and creativity. You are a strong Product manager who is selfless and invests in the success of your peers, managers and direct reports with a deep understanding of products, analytics, technology and operations.

In this role, you will be:
  • Defining the strategy for enterprise business intelligence tools, processes, and capabilities for Capital One
  • Leveraging Capital One's big data strategy to drive a step change in how our company uses data to make decisions
  • Building delightful customer experiences that decrease our analyst time to insight
  • Lead the development of a BI report catalog to make Capital One's insights discoverable and reusable
  • Partnering with our Design and Research team to gather feedback on existing tools and help pilot new tools and capabilities
  • Leading consumer research and synthesizing it into new product ideas
  • Building product cases for new features and product concepts
  • Defining, building towards, and launching MVPs
  • Establishing product testing plans and building roadmaps
  • Defining product KPIs and success metrics
  • Conducting user research in Capital One's lines of business to understand jobs to be done across our data community from senior decision makers to junior analysts
  • Using data analysis and user feedback to become the expert in enterprise data usage patterns and which solutions map to those patterns


What you will bring to the role:
  • A bias toward action and a proven track record of delivering minimum viable products to market at rapid speed
  • Excellent communication skills to navigate a matrixed organization, tell compelling stories with ease to senior executives, and inspire teams about things that should exist that don't exist yet
  • Ability to proactively identify impediments on the critical path and remove them
  • A structured problem-solving approach to help a team work through a wide range of issues
  • Intellectual curiosity for emerging technologies and engineering challenges
  • Ability to prioritize across different types of value dimensions
  • Ability to actively seek out multiple opinions, yet make independent decisions and influence positive outcomes
  • Ability to keep the crowd warmed up while the team fixes the broken demo

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Digital Product Management for internal or external products.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Agile Product Management.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in Digital Product Management for internal or external products.
  • 5 + years of experience in Agile Product Management.
  • 1+ years of experience performing data analysis in BI, analytical, and/or modeling tools.
  • 1+ years of experience defining and implementing product strategies for diverse customer groups.
  • Experience with cloud-native data persistence technologies: AWS S3, Snowflake, or Redshift.
  • Product ownership experience for data analysis or BI solutions .
