Wanted: A highly motivated Junior Computer System Analyst with demonstrated experience to perform system analysis functions on Aircraft or Weapons Systems to support Naval Air Systems (NAVAIR) programs. A week in the life of a Computer System Analyst (Junior): Collectinformation to analyze and evaluate. Performlogical and physical system design, and review /preparesystem documents and specifications. Conducttechnical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with system. Preparereports, studies, and documentation. Deliverpresentations and participates in meetings. Workon special problem areas; administercomplex areas of the network, security analysis and planning. Researchemerging technologies and devise ways of adding functionality to existing computer systems. Overseeinstallation and configuration of new systems to customize them for the organization. Support customer tag-ups, working groups and various milestone events Conduct fact finding and analysis to determine user problems and solve them by modifying the existing system when the solutions follow clear precedents. Assist higher level systems analysts by preparing detailed specifications required by computer programmers. Perform systems management and integration functions, improve existing computer systems, and review computer systems capabilities, workflow, and schedule limitations. Analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to develop and implement solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. US Citizenship required. BS or BA degree in a Technical Discipline. At least two (2) years of experience with client-server systems in systems analysis, software design, software development and database administration. Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance, quality control, and independent verification and validation techniques. Experience working independently and as part of a team in researching data, developing analytical techniques and methodologies.
