ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

ENGINEER Electrical Engineer. Falls Church, VA. Develop detailed electrical engineering drawings for telecommunication projects using AutoCAD. Create and maintain accurate electrical drawings/plan views, one line and riser diagrams (AC&DC) with wire sizes, panel schematics, and panelboard schedules for P.E. review. Perform voltage drop calculations and create load study reports for low & high voltage AC panels. Design, lay out, or detail components and resolve issues. Review and analyze specifications, drawings, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs. Modify and revise designs to correct deficiencies or to reduce production issues. Design power distribution, automated control, lighting control, and diesel/gas-fueled generator systems. Develop and perform short circuit and arc flash analyses, and coordination studies. Requires Master's in Electrical Engineering and at least two years of experience in electrical telecommunication design projects using AutoCAD software, analyzing electrical component design specifications and drawings, and revising electrical designs to correct operating and production deficiencies.
