For nearly 40 years, ICRW has been the premier applied research institute focused on gender inequities and power imbalances. With offices in Washington, DC, New Delhi, India, Kampala, Uganda and Nairobi, Kenya, ICRW provides evidence-based research to inform policies and programs that advance gender equity, inclusion and shared prosperity. Corporations, foundations, governments and civil society organizations partner with ICRW to discover through rigorous research how to dismantle barriers for women, girls and marginalized communities as they achieve their full potential. ICRW's focus areas include women's economic empowerment, youth development, child marriage, HIV/AIDS, sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender-based and intimate partner violence, mental health and men & masculinities. At ICRW, we believe that gender inequity lies at the root of every major problem the world faces. And so gender must inform every solution. Driven by our vision of equity for all, our researchers dig into the ways gender shapes societies and the ways people's lives are diminished by power imbalances. When we find proof, we take it out into the light and transform it into answers. Answers that power our advocacy. Answers that inform our consulting.
