Favor TechConsulting, LLC (FTC) is seeking a talented Sr. Billing Specialist who handles all aspects of the accounts payable process to support the financial processing of transactions for an organization. Additional responsibilities outlined below. Essential Duties Responsibilities Role Overview Responsible for billing operation for new and existing projects. Supervision billing staff, oversee and streamline billings to ensure accuracy of invoicing and routine collection processes. Training and direct the team. Interface with cross-department interaction, collaborating with business units, PMs, finance team, and external customers Responsibilities Manage full-cycle invoicing process for assigned FFP, TM, CPFF program. Prepare and review invoices and contract specific supplemental reports. Verify accuracy of Costpoint system generated invoices for proper indirect and fee recognition. Submit electronic submissions through various Govt. and customer invoicing systemsportals. Responsible for establishing consistent billing standards and processes. Reconciling billing accounts to assigned GL. Reconcile timing differences between billing and revenue recognition. Support and lead the Billing team in order to provide final invoices prior to contract closeout deadlines. Required Skills Experience Strong Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint 3+ years of billing experience in a government contracting environment Strong oral and written communication skills An expert in invoicing all types of contracts (CPFF, FFP, and TM) with 10+ years of experience in government contract billing Ensure a system of proper matching of cash receipts to invoices exists Monitor receivable balances including performing collection activities for assigned projectsprograms Calculate and accrue GSA IFF fee based on sales for quarterly payment and assist with other GSA monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements Review and interpret contract mods for GSA, IT 70 contracts to set up proper billing format Assist with various financial and other audits as needed Professional Certification(s) NA Formal Education Bachelor of Science in Accounting or equivalent from an accredited university Years of Professional Experience 5-8 years of Accounting experience and billings experience in the government contract industry Desired Skills Experience Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be organized and able to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment Strong oral and written communication skills Effectively interact with others and work independently Elevate payment issues related to performance to the Finance Lead, ProgramProject Manager, and Accounting Finance Ability to be flexible and willing to help with other miscellaneous requests Must possess government contract knowledge and government billing experience Must possess a complete understanding of the standard financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and the relationship between them Must possess an understanding of the entire general ledger and the relationship between various general ledger accounts and subsidiary ledgers Must possess an understanding of US Accounting Standards Professional Certification(s) See above Formal Education See above Years of Professional Experience See above Required TechnicalBusiness Tools Experience Proficiency in Microsoft excel, word Deltek Costpoint with emphasis on Billing and Projects Module, and Deltek TE Input invoices into WAWF, IPP, or other contract-specific submission requirements.
