Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant for Frederick, MD. Contract to Hire. $19-$20 per hour to start. Will be needed to perform a wide range of administrative and office support activities for the location to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization. 8:30am-5:00 pm Monday-Friday. Reception duties answering light phones while maintaining a professional and pleasant demeanor, receive and direct visitors, process mail both incoming and outgoing, scheduling of conference rooms, office supply inventory, facility maintenance calls, and other duties as assigned. Responsibilities:
  • Provide Administrative support to team members through assigned duties such as, but not limited to: monitoring and process work sent to the Queue email box, process faxes as needed of mobile workers, process crucial documentation and assist with maintenance of electronic files for the people we support.
  • Operate, monitor, and coordinate maintenance of agency office equipment.
  • Organize and maintain office file cabinets and/or storage locker until all paper files can be scanned to electronic files.
  • Change office voicemails for holidays and inclement weather.
  • Provide administrative assistance to other offices when the administrative assistant is out.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions that offer learning opportunities that promote and enhance skills and professional development.


Qualifications:
  • Excellent command of the English language both verbal and written.
  • Ability to report to office 2-3 days per week and be independent as the offices aren't fully open yet. Will transition to regular days post-pandemic when face to face is resumed.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 45 words per minute.
  • Excellent telephone techniques and an ability to use a multi-line phone system.
  • Experience with office procedures and equipment including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Publisher.
  • Cooperative, team-oriented approach to assignments and projects.
  • Attention to detail, prioritization, time management, problem solving and accuracy.
