Position Overview:

If you are an enthusiastic, self-motivated professional with a passion for commercial real estate, Freddie Mac Risk Distribution and Credit is the employer for you. The country's largest multifamily lender is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its fast paced team in focusing on the information quality and credit assessment of loans originated for Freddie Mac's Multifamily securitization platform. The hired candidate will evaluate loans for credit risk through the review of I&E/cash flow and rent roll analysis, third party reports, loan structure, borrower credit worthiness, market analysis, asset quality, and final loan documents. Loan production is nationwide and spans multiple multifamily sub-types including student, seniors, and affordable housing. Our Impact:

Our team is responsible for supporting and driving the effective transfer of our multifamily credit risk through the flagship K-deal program and other risk transfer models. We are responsible for explaining our approach to credit and defending individual credit decisions. Transferring our credit risk is an integral part of our mission to support the liquidity, stability and affordability of the Multifamily Market.

Your Impact:

In this role, you will support our credit risk transfer through the following:

Analysis
  • Participate in the credit and underwriting analysis process and create Asset Summary Reports
  • Create and maintain credit reporting documents and trend analysis databases
  • Provide analytical and market research support
  • Works efficiently in Microsoft Office, proprietary data systems and on-line data sources
  • Applies job knowledge, company policies and principles and critical thinking to complete assigned tasks accurately, completely, independently and in a timely manner

    Due Diligence
  • Support the securitization due diligence process; assist with addressing rating agency and investor questions.

    Communication
  • Collaborate with Capital Markets, Underwriting, Production, Asset Management, and Legal to validate and update pertinent loan information.
  • Share credit reporting documents and trend analysis with Senior Management and across the Multifamily Division

    Qualifications:
  • 0 to 2 years of experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience with CMBS, GSE multifamily lending, rating agencies, or asset management is a plus
