We're currently seeking a Salesforce Developer to implement some of Capital One's most exciting and innovative areas of HR technology strategy. This is an engineering position with an opportunity to be on the forefront of technical complexity driving a major transformation within Capital One. You will work with a team of developers with deep experience in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full stack systems. You'll collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust solutions in the cloud to drive powerful experiences that help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment.

You will be responsible for:
  • Collaborating with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
  • Leading the craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions
  • Bringing a passion to stay on top of current trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community
  • Encouraging innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, and self-organization
  • Assisting in the hiring of top engineering talent and maintaining our commitment to diversity and inclusion


The person we're looking for:
  • Is passionate about current state-of-the-art relevant tools and technologies and knows how to implement them effectively
  • Is excited about working with Cloud Based Technologies like AWS, DevOps, Kubernetes and Serverless
  • Has a sense of intellectual curiosity and a burning desire to learn
  • Is motivated, actively looks for ways to contribute, and knows how to get things done
  • Is passionately focused on the customer and the details that make their experience exceptional
  • Has the ability to collaborate and work efficiently with, and contribute to, a team
  • Values data and truth over ego
  • Has a strong sense of engineering craftsmanship, takes pride in the code they're responsible for
  • Is pragmatic, makes the best use of time and resources to find the simplest solution that works
  • Thinks and acts like an owner, taking personal responsibility for the success of the product and the team
  • Has great communication and reasoning skills, including the ability to influence and make a strong case for technology choices

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 2 years of Software Development experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Salesforce Certified Developer or Salesforce Certified Administrator certification
  • 2+ years of experience with Salesforce Event streaming, Monitoring and Alerting
  • 2+ years of experience with Salesforce DX and CI/CD
  • 3+ years working with Apex classes and Visual force pages
  • 3+ years of experience with Flows and Process builder
  • 3+ years of experience with Github or other version control
  • 3+ years of experience in an Agile and DevOps environment
  • 3+ years of experience testing software applications
