Summary

As the Director of the General Supplies and Services (GSS) Portfolio Outreach Division, you will plan, develop, execute, and manage strategies to achieve GSS business development and portfolio outreach objectives, establish the strategic direction for GSS business development and communication programs, policies, and projects, and lead portfolio strategic actions and execution in the areas of GSS business development and communications.

Responsibilities

Location of position: GSA, Federal Acquisition Service, Office of General Supplies and Services Categories in Chicago, IL, Washington DC, Minneapolis, MN or Fort Worth, TX.

Location to be determined upon selection.

We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed. Additional vacancies may be filled through this announcement in this or other GSA organizations within the same commuting area. You will be responsible for the following:
  • Monitors performance of the portfolio against program priorities, goals, and performance metrics and develops strategies to correct deficiencies.
  • Maintains, cognizance of changes in acquisition, supply, retail, and personal property management business line programs.
  • Develops high level communication, marketing, media plans, and strategies for the General Supplies and Services (GSS) Portfolio.
  • Develops and administers plans, guidelines, and standards to ensure achievement of the portfolio's objectives.
  • Serves as the General Supplies and Services (GSS) liaison to the FAS, Office of Customer and Stakeholder Engagement (CASE).
  • Provides key input, expertise, and assistance to CASE for its customer outreach and relationship management initiatives.

If selected, you must meet the following conditions:

  • Complete a financial disclosure report to verify that no conflict, or an appearance of conflict, exists between your financial interest and this position.
  • Serve a one year supervisory or managerial probationary period, if required.

The GS-15 salary range starts at $137,699 per year. Duty location will be determined upon selection. Pay will be determined in accordance with the locality pay of the duty station. Locality tables my be found at https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/pay-leave/salaries-wages/ .

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

To qualify you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service.

Specialized experience includes managing government-wide and/or corporate-wide programs including strategic planning, project management, vendor management and building consensus with a diverse group of stakeholders and customer agencies. Such experience could have been gained providing program management and direction; supervisory, senior/expert technical guidance and leadership; or program analysis and evaluation.
