Performing circuits and systems simulation, prototyping, layout & fabrication. Working with analog detectors (IR, CCD), temperature sensors, flow sensors, accelerometers, and other types of sensors. Designing digital, analog, clocking and power circuitry with high speed, high performance analog converters (ADC). A' Designing filters and amplifier circuits.A' Understand and analyze system level design requirements. Interpret design specifications and perform schematics capture. Generating and maintaining BOM. Interfacing with CPLDs and/or FPGAs. Preparing Interface Control Documents. Testing and qualifying prototype boards. Characterizing analog performance (SNR, SFDR, Crosstalk, etc ). Integrating hardware in Aerospace instruments. Review existing publications, literature, conference proceedings to investigate solutions to requirements. Work within team to design and simulate viable circuits. Support circuit layout and post-layout simulation. Prepare and participate in design reviews. Develop verification plans for design work. Validate circuit performance in test laboratory facilities. Diagnose problems and formulate rework or redesign solution.A' Here's What You'll Need:Bachelors of Science degree in a related STEM discipline; Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering from an accredited college preferred. Excellent understanding of analog and digital electronics is required.A' Minimum of 20 years relevant engineering experience focused on architecting, designing, implementing, and testing digital signal processing subsystems. Experience with high-speed mixed signal circuit card design and/or high-density, high-speed digital circuit card design. Experience creating and reviewing engineering documentation - design specifications, schematics, bills of materials, PCBs, and test plans/procedures. A' Experience with PCB assembly and test procedures.A' A' Experience with FPGAs and/or embedded processors. Demonstrated experience managing and presenting technical data to stakeholders and customers in design reviews and technical interchange meetings. Experience designing with Xilinx and/or Altera FPGAs. Knowledge of FPGA design implementation with VHDL design language. Strong understanding of digital circuits / systems performance characteristics.A' Knowledge of hardware communication standards, eg UART, RS232, RS422, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, USB, PCI-Express, SATA, MIPI, LVDS, Display Port, HDMI, etc. Experience with CAD tools such as OrCAD, Allegro, Altium, PADS, etc. A' Demonstrated experience in high speed digital product design, development and testing. Should have experience with high speed differential lines and serial interfaces technical starndards and electrical characteristics.A' Should have experience designing with high speed, high performance ADC for communications applications. Demonstrated experience analyzing digital signal processing performance characteristics, collaborating with an engineering team in the correction of problems and Leading efforts to develop, integrate, characterize, and test devices.A' Experience working in a fast paced facility engineering environment.
