Description SHIFT: PRNSCHEDULE: PRN/Per DiemReston Hospital Center offers a full range of medical services, including 24-hour emergency care. OurA' 231-bedA' hospital specializes in maternal/child health, surgical services on both an inpatient and extensive outpatient basis, urological services including lithotripsy, cancer care with state-of-the-art radiation therapy, rehabilitation therapy programs and a wide array of diagnostic imaging capabilities. Reston Hospital Center is a certified Stroke Center, certified Total Joint Center and the only accredited Chest Pain Center in Northern Virginia. A' Reston has about 3,000 deliveries a year with over 40+ postpartum beds. The Lactation Consultant for the Maternal Child Health Unit (to include LDR, Mother/Baby, Special Care Nursery, Newborn Nursery) assumes the responsibility for assessing, implementing and evaluating lactation support services to expectant/new parents and MCH staff. The Lactation ConsultantA' consistently applies specialized knowledge and skills in the management ofA' the new mother/family. The Consultant demonstrates leadership skills, learning theories, flexibility, receptiveness and the ability to instill self-confidence and motivation in others.
