DescriptionAre you passionate about college recruiting and meaningful internship programs? Do you love to develop programs focused on nurturing phenomenal early career talent? If so, we're looking for someone like you to join our team at APL. We are seeking an intern program specialist to improve a well-established internship recruiting program. You will craft and execute all aspects of an intern program with over 400 participants. You'll build and execute engaging and meaningful programs to retain and convert our college interns into full-time employees. You will be joining a hardworking team of recruiters and talent acquisition professionals to build an engaging internship experience for both interns and APL managers. As an intern program specialist Your primary responsibility will be to manage the College Intern program with 400+ participants. You will act as the subject matter authority and main point of contact for the overall program. You will build and execute engagement programs, including an intern ambassador program. You will create and deliver training programs for interns, hiring teams, and leaders. You will partner with your college recruiting colleagues to attract, engage and hire the nation's top college STEM talent for the Lab's College Intern Program and grow the number of conversions to full-time staff. You will review our intern conversion process and make improvements. You will collaborate with D teams, specialized intern program coordinators and other key partners across the Laboratory. You will represent the intern program internally and externally. You will analyze and interpret data to make decisions. You will present at and participate in college fairs, professional association conferences and diversity events. QualificationsYou meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you Possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business administration, communications, human resources or related field. Have 4+ years of recruiting experience with at least 2 years in college recruiting. Are skilled in creating and managing recruiting projects and initiatives. Have experience with STEM in some capacity, preferably recruiting. Knowledge of applicable HR related federal regulations Are a problem solver and aren't deterred by obstacles. Possess an ability to adapt to and work with many different hiring groups. Are proficient with Excel and Powerpoint. Are willing and able to travel 50% of the time from September through March. Are able to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand on feet for long periods of time. Are able to obtain a security clearance. If selected, you may be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship. You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you Have experience working with Taleo, iCIMS or other Applicant Tracking System. Have managed a large intern program.
