OverviewSoft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of Configuration Management Specialist. The selected individual will join a collaborative team environment where they will provide expertise and guidance for a software development project, and will help coordinate the efforts of team members in order to deliver the project according to plan and client requirements. The Configuration Management Specialist plays a key role in client relations, and key to the success of this position is the successful delivery of projects and effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting on configuration management.ResponsibilitiesAdvise and develop solutions to ensure all current CM policies, process and procedures are meeting the OCIO Cyber Security/Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliant, follows the NIST guidelines and aligns with the industry best practice and with agency/division strategies.Develop CI/CD policy/procedures/guardrails to achieve a more homogeneous implementation employed in all the application development environments.Evaluate and implement standards, processes and best practices in implementing infrastructure and database configuration management.Engage in annual CICM/ADP platform user recertification and policy refresh activities to ensure that all client policies, processes and procedures are up to date for the annual external KPMG audit.Maintain inventory of all client owned documentation (policies, admin guides, process and procedures, etc) Provide a comprehensive solution to implement and manage the federated CMDB, which will provide a single point of reference, making it the definitive reference mechanism for all IT decisions by providing business-aware visibility into the dependencies among business processes, users, applications, and underlying IT infrastructure.Support the integration ECSL with Enterprise Architecture's Global Enterprise Architecture Repository System (GEARS) and Client Software Services Division's (CSSD) Workstation Services - Configuration Management (WS-ConfigMgmt), as well as Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) to ensure no duplicated data are being maintained in multiple systems, as well as remove as much human interaction as possible.Enhance current ECSL implemented process, design and architecture that helps establish the best practice approaches to integrate and manage the data, tools and processes to drive toward a successful business outcomes.Integrate the ECSL data with the ADP platform to show, in dashboard like display, the production deployment readiness of a system.Implement Flexera App Portal's software license manager module. QualificationsBachelor's Degree. A degree in a related discipline is preferred.8+ years of overall applicable experienceCertifications in change management are a plus.Experience in ITIL, Change Control Board duties, and document management.Experience with DevSecOps with infrastructure-as-code (IaC), Jenkins, Ansible and AWS.Strong written and verbal communication skillsExperienced in developing strong, positive client relationships.Self-directed with a high attention to detailAbout UsSoft Tech Consulting, Inc. is a woman and minority-owned business headquartered in Chantilly, VA.
