Job Description Kratos Space and Missile Defense Systems (KSMDS) seeks candidates to fill a financial analyst position in spring/summer 2021. The position will be an internship/co-op at the Glen Burnie, Maryland facility. The ideal candidate is a student pursuing a finance/accounting degree with previous/parallel experience in engineering.This role is part of the Kratos Space & Missile Defense Systems (KSMDS) program management organization located in Glen Burnie, MD. This position will support program cost accounting in order to provide real-time insight on program execution and support reporting to customer deliverables. In addition, the role will support financial assessments to understand current and future cash flow, bookings, revenue to drive senior management decisions on investments, human resources, and program prioritization. KSMDS business unit is part of the Kratos Defense & Rocket Support Services Division headquartered in Glen Burnie, MD. Additionally, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following: Develop, maintain, and provide financial reports for various programs, business unit operation, and business development forecasts Develop financial plans and projections Support cost estimating for proposals Provide recommendations for program management regarding process improvement Experience and Skills Demonstrate inclusive and collaborative behaviors consistent with Kratos values of family, agility and honesty. Desire to work in an agile, fast-paced business environment Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel Strong background in finance, accounting, engineering and/or government contracting Bachelor's degree (or in pursuit of degree) in Finance, Accounting or Engineering Minimal travel required
