This individual should have experience working in a CMDB environment within large organizations, preferably in the financial services industry. The CMDB Administrator is responsible for maintaining the CMDB as an operator and should be adept with discovery patterns and service mapping.This role may be located within 3 hours of any of the following OneMain Financial HQ locations - Baltimore, Wilmington, DE, NY, NY, Chicago, Evansville, IN, Dallas, Charlotte, TempeResponsibilities:Defines, creates, and manages the ServiceNow Discovery schedules, ensuring that they complete their scans and provide the expected dataAssists the Configuration Manager with audits and reports to ensure process compliance and the accuracy of the CMDBResponsible for identifying which configuration item (CI) types, CI attributes, and CI relationships are tracked in the CMDBEnsures ServiceNow Discovery schedules are created and maintained for all active locations and the IP ranges being scanned are activeDevelops and implements processes to review the ServiceNow Discovery logs, identifies issues, and resolves themTroubleshoots and resolves any issues with ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB health, including working with support teams and other appropriate stakeholdersEnsures ServiceNow Discovery is aligned with other systems that provide CI dataManages all aspects of the CMDB including reconciliation and de-duplicationWorks with application teams to develop Service Mapping for the applicationsDevelops process for maintaining the Service MapsIntegrates the CMDB with additional processesRequired Skills:Requires 3+ years' of experience administering Service Now ITOM applications. More specifically, should have experience with the following - Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event ManagementPossess functional knowledge of hardware, web application servers, databases, and potential dependenciesPossess functional knowledge on Servers (Windows, Unix), Server Virtualization, WMI, SSH, Telnet, etc.Must have basic MSSQL skills, as well as familiarity with databases, SQL, database architecture, database instance, tables, table space, etc.Requires familiarity with Mainframe CIsExperience scripting and troubleshooting the errors identified during the CI discoveryExperienced with network hardware such as firewalls, DMZs, load balancers and protocols, such as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, FTP, and SNMPPossess fundamental understanding of application architectures: 2 tier and 3-tier applications, OSI Model, Active Directory, LDAP, and Amazon Web Services (AWS)Requires knowledge in Change and Configuration management processesRequires knowledge of ServiceNow Common Services Data ModelCandidate must be detail oriented and able to communicate across teams concerning their technologiesMust have the ability to take initiative in solving issues and proposing solutionsCandidate must effectively communicate the use of configuration management and the role of the CMDB/CMSEducation / Training: Bachelor's Degree Required; Master's Degree preferredServiceNow Certified System Administrator preferredNote: Employment-based non-immigrant visa sponsorship and/or assistance is not offered for this specific job opportunity.Benefits:Because we want our team members to bring us their very best every day, we believe they deserve the right opportunities and benefits.
