We continue to research and develop treatments for cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases, pediatric cancers and other orphan diseases.How you'll contributeUnited Therapeutics Corporation has a corporate real estate portfolio that includes more than 1.6 million square feet of owned and/or leased properties within North America and Europe. As a corporate real estate intern, you'll be actively involved in numerous aspects relating to our portfolio.As a member of the Corporate Real Estate team, you will be expected to contribute immediately. Your tasks will require research and analysis to make decisions and recommendations to the VP of Corporate Real estate.Most of your assignments will be dedicated to a wide range of real estate projects, including: LEED analysis, facilities management, county and state legislation research, lease administration, tax analysis, and acquisition and disposition analysis.These tasks require and will help to develop administrative skills such as: document editing in Microsoft Word, spreadsheet formatting in Microsoft Excel, and gathering, organizing, and consolidating information from various sources.You will be encouraged to attend virtual meetings, webinars, and conferences with biotech, pharmaceutical and real estate experts to help you understand the real estate and facility needs of United Therapeutics.Updating PowerBi dataUpdating Sharepoint information and confirming accuracyWorking on a Master Utilities repository for all UT propertiesVendor acquisition and product purchasingCommunicating (written and oral) with various county, state and federal agencies to understand upcoming legislation, verify accurate property information, determine effects of future / anticipated municipal fees, etc.Gathering, analyzing, and reporting on sustainability initiatives surrounding energy use, water use, waste management, carbon emissions, renewable energy, and other environmental programsPerforming internet research on a variety of topicsGeneral office work as assignedFor this role you will need Minimum RequirementsAt least three years completed towards a BS/BA in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Real Estate Design & ConstructionPreferred Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products; Word, Excel and PowerPointCapable of working a minimum of 10 hrs/week, and as many as 40 hrs/week when availableAbility to work independentlyStrong oral and written communication skillsHigh energy levelFlexibility and ability to think on your feetInterested in all aspects of real estateMust be proficient in EnglishLife as a UnitherianAt United Therapeutics, you'll realize quickly that it is not an ordinary place to work!
