A large healthcare client is looking for a Technical Production Analyst to join their Production Operations team which supports their enterprise Big Data warehouse. The role will start remote then be onsite in either DC, Austin or Boston if candidate is local, but can stay remote. The candidate will be supporting their production environment and monitoring issues as they arise. They will be troubleshooting and maintaining their ETL process which has many technologies to ingest, extract, transform and load the data into the warehouse/mart. They must be familiar with relational databases and hands on with their legacy Oracle PL/SQL loading process, SQL scripts, as well as Unix/Perl Scripting for orchestration and troubleshooting data flow issues as they arise. The team is eventually moving to AWS so it would be ideal for one of the candidates to have experience with Job automation and support with cloud migration. There is a team in India providing off hours support but it would be ideal if one of the candidates was flexible to work 11am-8pm EST hours for handoff to India, or at least be flexible in off hours/weekends. They do a daily standup to see work for day and also will do monthly and daily refreshes for the clients, as well as provide India with an end of day update before signing off. responsibilities:* Assist with the day-to-day operations of the production data refresh process.* Monitor production processes & jobs; assist in troubleshooting issues as they arise and triage/address issues in a time sensitive and timely manner.* Coordinate with Chennai Data Analyst team on a daily basis to execute production operations tasks.* Build and improve standard operation procedures and troubleshooting documents.* Help to design processes to increase operational reliability across the data pipeline.* Report on metrics to surface meaningful results, bottlenecks and identify areas for efficiency gain.* Work with developments teams to define requirements and drive implementation of tools, features, automation necessary for smooth functioning of production operations. Minimum Requirements- 2-5 years of experience with technical production support/operations or related role in Big Data- ability to troubleshoot Spark and Scala pipelines- 1+ year relational database and ETL experience (SQL scripts, SSIS)- hands on scripting (unix, perl, bash, shell)- background in production environment and troubleshooting data issues- Cloud exposure (AWS) preferred Desired Skills-PL/SQL- Healthcare background (HL7, FHIR, etc)- experience working with global distributed teams
