If so, we are looking for someone like you to join our team!We are seeking an inquisitive Systems Engineer and Analyst to help us strengthen national security and ensure the safety of US warfighters. Our team analyzes large volumes of data to drive improvements to combat systems, tactical networks, and advanced radars. You will join a tight-knit team of engineers, physicists, mathematicians, software developers, and analysts to analyze US Navy defense systems and their complex interactions, as well as to conceive and to develop new approaches to further enhance our nation's defense.Apply if you Have an analytical mind and are motivated by learning or finding root causes of issues Are curious about cutting edge technology across aerospace and naval systems Want to work closely with a passionate team Want to learn about systems such as the Cooperative Engagement Capability, Ship Self-Defense System, the latest Naval Radars, and the Enhanced Sea Sparrow and Rolling Airframe Missiles Want to help the Navy make decisions about how to best utilize its existing tactical systems or make future technological investments As a Systems Analyst and Engineer, you will Analyze combat system data to support predictive analysis, test execution, post-test analysis, or simulation efforts. Use statistics, algorithms, and visualization to gain insights into sophisticated systems and complex datasets for the US Navy. Learn from subject matter experts in the fields of combat systems, sensors, weapons systems, software design, systems engineering, and data science. Perform trade studies, systems engineering integration decisions, root-cause issues, and propose solutions. Build end-to-end data pipelines and models to support automated data processing and analysis for simulations and off-site test events. Present your insights to technical and executive-level audiences. Note: Job responsibilities may change over time as your expertise grows. QualificationsYou meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you Hold a Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or similar field Have at least 3 years of experience drawing insights from systems of systems data. Are familiar with Python, MATLAB, R, or similar programming languages for data processing and visualization. Have a background in mathematics with knowledge of probability and statistics. Are able to work both independently and as part of a team. Have demonstrated written and oral communication skills. Can support occasional travel to test events (less than 20% of the time). Are able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain Secret level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship. You will go beyond our minimum requirements if you Hold an advanced degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a similar field. Have a foundational knowledge of systems engineering or experience with systems integration. Have a strong working knowledge of multiple software languages including Python, MATLAB, R, C++, Java, and others. Have a background in aerospace systems, combat systems, sensor systems, electronic warfare systems, tactical networks, and/or missile integration. Currently hold a Secret clearance (or above).
