DMInc.com Careers Twitter LinkedIn Facebook About the OpportunityDMI is looking for a Middleware Administrator I to support a federal customer in the DC Metro area. This candidate will be responsible for the following:Administer and operate all Middleware instances in the non-production and production environments.Execute performance tuning of middleware tools for optimal performance based on user load.Manage clustered Middleware instances for load balancing and failover.Work with system, Network, Database, and IAM administrators to tune Application performance.Monitor performance and provide ongoing Configuration and tuning adjustments.Install product fixes for all tools identified as vulnerable in security penetration tests.Perform routine housekeeping jobs and tasks to minimize downtime and system disruptions.Monitor performance and providing ongoing Configuration and tuning adjustments.Build scripts for task automation, build Support, scheduling, and file cleanup.Work with development teams to create/Configure new middleware instances required by the project, including web Servers, Application Servers, and Single-Sign-On.QualificationsBS or higher degree in Computer Science or IT related field, or equivalent.Four or more years of experience Supporting Windows/Unix/Linux-based middleware.Experience with multiple Database platforms (Oracle, MS SQL).Experience with SDLC and Agile development methods (Agile / Scrum / RUP / XP).Certification in the installation, Configuration and administration of relevant middleware tool(s).Strong troubleshooting skills for proprietary and commercial software.Experience with scripting and automation with tools such as Shell or PERL.Some experience with languages including Java/J2EE, XML, HTML and JSP, as well as scripting with Shell and Perl.Some experience with web site and application development with a good understanding of technologies that make up web Server architectures.Some experience with installation and Configuration of Apache, IIS, IBM WebSphere ND, JBoss AS (Jboss ESB, JBoss Messaging and other technologies a plus), Tomcat, and ColdFusion.Experience working with Windows, Linux, and UNIX Servers.Ability to work in team environments.Location: Arlington, VAPhysical Requirements: N/AUS Citizenship RequiredWorking at DMIDMI is a diverse, prosperous and rewarding place to work.
