Mackson provides high end technology solutions, coupled with a leading edge scientific capability that supports our country's national security and the intelligence mission of our customers.Job DescriptionImmediate opening for a Market Research Analyst who will be responsible for conducting progressive analytical and data driven research pertaining to public sector business opportunities. The primary responsibilities for the position include data gathering and analysis of public sector content -utilizing various methods to identify, qualify and describe procurement opportunities, contracts, contacts, vendor information, and other selected data sets. This position will support business development, capture, marketing and proposal development efforts. This position will support the company's mission of fostering innovation in science and technology by creating advanced technological solutions to advance government health missions using targeted research to drive future development efforts. This position would provide the opportunity for growth into a career path in proposal support or other business development opportunities.Major Responsibilities:* Identify potential business acquisition and contract opportunities by researching various resources and reviews all federal government websites (beta.SAM, FBO, e-Buy, GovWin FPDS, GovTribe and other online resources) for relevant postings; communicate opportunities to the appropriate manager or business leader.* Communicate updates, modification, and amendments to ongoing proposal efforts in a timely manner.* Conduct in-depth market and competitive analyses and monitors competitive activity.* Respond to ad hoc market, customer and competitor research requests on the market, specific contracts, competitors, or potential partners in a timely manner.* Ability to identify and analyze opportunities by researching various technology based (government/industry) sponsored online resources for relevant postings that enable decision making by business leaders.* Deliver high-quality and timely responses to executive inquiries regarding opportunities and initiatives.* Perform various research activities to support long-term projects providing insight into the Federal marketplace, potential long-range contract opportunities, and other relevant areas of interest.* Support customer meetings, track and compile relevant news articles and distribute to senior management on a weekly basis.* Maintain and distribute calendar of key industry meetings and conferences.* Maintain and track the business development database and pipeline activity and supports pipeline and step review meetings.* Monitor and utilize research tools to identify and track relevant legislation, regulation, or other policies that might impact health agency mission, the company or industry.* Serve as resident SME by maintaining proficiency with research and technology tools, review, test, and recommend new and advanced tools that can improve data analysis and competitiveness of the business.* Participates in industry events and associations to gain insight and stay abreast of government market trends.QualificationsRequired Experience* Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited college or university* Minimum of 3-5 years of market research or market analysis experience, preferably in the public sector, more specifically, federal government, with a focus on market research supporting a business development organization.* Excellent critical thinking, analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills* Command of advanced research techniques and ability to organize complex market information, data searches, and data modeling techniques using IT systems and industry best practices* Solid understanding of federal contracting and procurement methods and supporting processes.* Ability to create and analyze statistical data and government issued reports* Excellent and effective written and oral communications skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of individuals from varied backgrounds, executive, technical, and administrative* Proficiency with CRM systems such as Salesforce* Proficiency with MS Office Suite and SharePoint; advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills* Experience with technical & programming skills including SQL, Tableau, etc.* Experience with industry research tools, including beta.SAM, Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS), Deltek GovWin, GovTribe, G2Xchange Health, GovBD, etc.* US work authorization is requiredAdditional InformationA-TEK, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
