NCQA is now hiring a Senior Specialist, Compensation in their HR Department. The Senior Specialist, Compensation will be responsible for collaborating in the research, analysis, implementation, evaluation, communication, and execution of the company's total rewards program and related processes. The individual will be responsible for supporting the alignment of our total rewards programs with business objectives that support organizational strategies. They will be responsible for supporting the delivery of our compensation and benefits programs in close collaboration with the AD of HR.Primary Responsibilities:Benefits & Compensation AdministrationRecommend and implement improvements to the compensation, benefits, life, AD and disability programs to provide an effective employee and manager experience and ensure organizational compliance with all relevant legislation and plan provisionsRegularly benchmarks company programs & monitors external trends to proactively adjust company plans and programs in response to trends and/or issues. This includes monitoring legislative changes that may have impact on organization programs.Assist in conducting job evaluations and compensation reviews and analyses, ensuring internal equity and equal pay legislation complianceInterpret and administer leave and disability accommodation programs and policies in accordance with federal and state laws (FMLA, ADA, DC PFML, etc.)Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports as required to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, ensuring employee privacy guidelines are followedUpdate benefit communications on SharePoint/new hire orientation presentation and materialsReview reporting from broker for claims and trends with benefits plans and review with AD and AVP HRFacilitate and execute annual open enrollment along with community and wellness week to create a positive employee experience in the first 2 weeks of NovemberReconcile benefit vendor invoices monthly and upload to PN3 for paymentCoordinate STD benefit information with CignaProvide benefit overview to new employees during onboardingHRIS ManagementUpload historical job, salary, and employee documents in UltiProPerform general UltiPro maintenance and updates for HR process improvementAssist with UltiPro and vendor carrier connection and managementBuild/establish benefit reporting in HRIS system to support processes and invoice reconciliation.Assists in development of user procedures, guidelines, and documentation.Provide UltiPro training to managers and employees so they are familiar with the system and necessary processes such as performance management, open enrollment, life events, information updates, and retrieval of information of direct reports.Customer ServiceCreating and delivering bi-weekly wellness newsletter to improve and enhance the wellbeing of all employeesFocusing on increasing transparency and improving policies to ensure high employee engagement and retentionSuggest other improvements to benefits and compensation practices to increase transparency and increase options for managers and employeesConduct regular trainings and provide regular communications to employees on benefits information and compensationSupport general HR operations as needed by responding to email inquiries to general mailboxEducation and Skillset:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, in Business or Human ResourcesCCP (Certified Compensation Professional)Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)Minimum of 5 years working experience with US benefits and compensation programsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high level of accuracy and attention to detailHave strong working knowledge of US compensation and benefits topics and legislationKnowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, FLSA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, Medicare, and Social Security and DOL requirementsDemonstrated customer service focus with ability to forge partnerships within the businessAbility to work independently as well as a part of a cross border team in a collaborative mannerAbility to handle information with accuracy, security, and confidentialityExceptional organizational skills and a proven ability to work under pressureStrong communication and consulting skills with capability to adapt to a variety of audiencesDemonstrated initiative and sound judgment for effective decision makingQuick learner who can effectively apply new knowledge and skillsEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesNCQA is a drug free workplace.
