Our partnerships with leading edge technology manufacturers-many of which look to us for their own technology infrastructure needs-keep us immersed across the broad spectrum of the IT ecosystem.As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will supervise the Sales Tax compliance for all companies within the consolidated group.From strategy to fulfillment to managed services, our engineering-centric solutions enable our clients to realize what it means for technology to do more.Job Responsibilities:* * Supervise the preparation of all domestic sales tax returns* Research various different sales tax matters for US Domestic issues* Prepare sales tax registrations as needed* Prepare and manage sales tax audits and sales tax refunds* Review and maintain current and accurate sales tax exemption certificates from customers* Determine the taxability of certain SKUs sold by ePlus* Complete sales tax general ledger reconciliations* Provide assistance with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance* Develop good working relationships with business units and accounting peers to effectively and efficiently complete tax projects and to identify sales tax issues* Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of sales tax laws and regulations* Maintain a current awareness and understanding of and to fully comply with the company's code of ethics, independence rules and quality control practicesYour Corporate Responsibilities:Internal Control responsibilities vary by role and are subject to change. Please discuss your individual internal control responsibilities with your immediate supervisor on a regular basis.* Handle confidential matters and information professionally* Conduct business in a professional, competent and ethical manner* Adhere to corporate policies and proceduresJob Knowledge/Skills:* Advanced Excel skills required and working knowledge of basic office technology (Word, Power Point, One Note etc.)* Familiarity with computerized tax applications (Vertex etc.)* Understanding of sales tax compliance processes, refunds, and audits* Ability to negotiate with sales tax authorities* Strong process engineering, analytical, computer and organizational skills* Good human relations and communications skills including the ability to document processes, tax positions and other documentation, as required* Ability to handle multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment* Demonstrate initiative, be hard-working, be a self-starterEducation and Experience:* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Tax* 3 + years applicable work experience in tax related areas* Public accounting experience preferredPhysical Requirements of Position:Ability of finger dexterity to be used primarily to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects or pinching fingers together. Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands and / or fingers. Speech ability must be at a level where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly or quickly. Hearing ability must be at a level to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. Visual ability must be average with ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery. Physical strength for sedentary work with sitting most of the time.
