Supports the organization by providing continuous support, troubleshooting and identification of opportunities for electronic medical record systems improvements. Promotes future and present system functionality by identifying errors or opportunities for improved functionality, testing upgrades and understanding impact on existing workflows, communicating these changes, and training the staff on EMR systems. SUPERVISION Direct Supervisor: Director of ISNext Line Supervisor:Chief Executive OfficerDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThrough constant and dedicated learning and networking with EMR resources, build and maintain structural and functional fluency in our EMR software program(s) in order to walk users through the steps to achieve effective and complaint clinical documentation.In collaboration with Clinical leadership, Compliance, and Education, maintains ongoing updates to user reference documents, troubleshooting tip sheets, user guides and paper back up versions to EMR documentation.Function as primary point of contact and subject matter expert for clinicians seeking EMR assistance to resolve workflow issues and functionality questions that their clinical manager cannot resolve. Convey non-clinical issues, including application errors and user access issues, to the IT department for resolution. Effectively performs both in-person and remote (phone/email/splash top) troubleshooting support by using established diagnostic techniques and asking pertinent questions, determining the best solution in alignment with organizational policies and regulatory compliance based on the issue and details provided.Triage, track, escalate, and close issues as required while maintaining a working list/knowledge of common issues, frequently asked questions, etc.Using concrete data supported by real-world examples, aid the clinical leadership /education team/compliance in conceptualizing updates and upgrades that will enhance users' experience and knowledge of the EMR. Participate in QAPI program to lend EMR-specific knowledge to process improvement and compliance related activities. Provide support in Standard Work development when EMR activities are required within a system or process. Support electronic transmission of EMR data to various entities.Maintain a high level of courteous client service at all times.This position and its essential functions should be expected to evolve over time.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONSAssociate's Degree and current Maryland nursing (RN) license required; BSN preferred.Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience; preference given to hospice, long term care, or home health environments.Familiarity with multiple EMR systems and how they are used to provide patient care, document effectively, and maintain regulatory compliance. Specific knowledge of NetSmart HomeCare and/or Deyta highly valued,but must be a fast and agile learner of new technologies and software. Excellent customer service skills, including problem solving, complaint de-escalation, and efficient, effective verbal communication.Able to effectively prioritize and manage time and work in a fast-paced environment.Must maintain HIPAA privacy and security at all times.. REQUIREMENTSCurrent Maryland driver's license and clean driving record. Reliable transportation a must.Compliant with health screening and vaccination requirements of organization and position, including TB screening and Influenza vaccination annually.Moderate lifting of material in a general office environment - eight hour workday, ability to sit, stand, walk and speak on the telephone.
