Georgetown Day School opened its doors in 1945 as the first integrated school in a segregated city. Having grown from 12 children in 1945 to 1075 students in PK-12 today, GDS is recognized as one of Washington, DC's and the nation's most dynamic educational institutions.Georgetown Day School seeks an experienced Advancement Systems and Data Reports Manager to start as soon as possible. The selected individual will ensure data integrity, and provide system innovation and expertise to our robust team of Advancement professionals.Reports to:This position reports to the Chief Advancement OfficerPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:Continually evolve a strategic plan for ensuring accurate data across the Georgetown Day School database systems, primarily Raiser's Edge and Blackbaud's Education Management SolutionsIn a timely and accurate manner, adhering to gift policies and procedures, perform the entry of gifts and commitments, produce pledge reminders, and provide acknowledgement/receipt of all philanthropic donationsWork collaboratively with the School's Business Office to manage and reconcile income recordsPrepare Advancement's materials for the annual audit, 990 tax form, INDEX and DASL surveys, and provide requested statistics for the School's websiteCreate and produce data output documents to support the reporting requirements of our fundraising programs; assist colleagues in the production/running of reportsDevelop reports and provide accurate analysis of fundraising goals, historic donor information, etc. for the Board of Trustees, Head of School, Chief Advancement Officer, and Business Office as neededPerform data imports: review, clean, and standardize source data; create and run import files; perform quality control and correct inconsistencies after import to maintain data integrityConstantly identify, create, and lead the implementation of solutions for Raiser's Edge clean-up and standardizationManage the list production process for prospecting, solicitations, mailings, analytical reports, and institutional event invitationsProvide timely and courteous responses to inquiries from donors and other constituents; confirming receipt of contributions, investigating discrepancies between donor records and Raiser's Edge, etc.Work with the School's Data Architect to explore options and develop the strategy to integrate all of the School's database systemsOther duties as assigned by the Chief Advancement OfficerThe ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree with relevant experience in computer systems and softwareExperience working in a nonprofit fundraising environment is a plusCertification or equivalent level experience with fundraising software, preferably Raiser's EdgeDesire to manage a well-ordered and effective CRM databaseAbility to collaborate with other data-driven School offices and departments on the coordination of school-wide data flowAbility to comfortably juggle multiple priorities and changing circumstances; organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines with a proven record of accuracy and attention to detailExcellent organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal), strong interpersonal skills with all constituents and colleaguesOutstanding analytical and mathematical skillsComplete discretion with highly confidential informationAbility and willingness to learn and utilize new applications/methods as necessary in order to complete work as efficiently as possibleDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively with trustees, administration, faculty/staff, parents, alumni, and studentsCommitment to collegiality, teamwork, and ethical fundraising practicesAvailability to periodically work outside of the normal schedule for early morning meetings, evening engagements, and occasional weekend obligationsAbility to manage database from offsite when necessaryAs a diverse and inclusive school devoted to social justice that prepares students to live and work in an increasingly globalized and multicultural society, we are particularly interested in professionals with demonstrated interest and experience in working in such a community.Qualified candidates should submit a cover letter, resume, and list of three references using our online application system.
