Dragos has an opportunity for a Senior Technical Documentation Specialist to join our engineering team and lead content creation on a wide variety of projects for both internal and client deliverables. You will be responsible for creating technical documents and guides, explain complex information clearly and concisely, and working with technical staff to ensure accuracy of all documentation related to requirements, design, and implementation.Lead strategic short and long-term projects, creating clear and concise information to help end-users use the tools we deliver. Collaborate with internal business partners (such as Product Managers, UI/UX, Operations, and engineers) to develop strategy and content. Participate in content management efforts, documentation process development, and quality governance to support team success while also working independently on multiple projects in a start-up environment.ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize, develop, and edit technical documentation (including implementation procedures, guides, and technical best practices)Produce electronic documentation in addition to hard copyMaintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentationAnalyze documents to maintain continuity of style of contentMaintain schedules of multiple deploying sets of documentationManage reporting processes for KPIs associated with documentationWork with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirementsWrite easy-to-understand user interface text, online help, and developer guidesCreate tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applicationsAnalyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunitiesManagement of Confluence informational architectureQualificationsFive years of experience in ITMinimum of seven years industry experience as an influential technical writerExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAble to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences in a very highly specialized role around securitySkilled at prioritization with solid attention to detailExperience working within highly technical documentation and grasp of installation on Bare Metal, Hypervisor, Imaged SystemsAbility to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and picturesProficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Confluence Experience using an XML-based authoring systemStrong bias for action and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlinesFirm understanding of an agile systems development life cycle (SDLC) and software developmentOur mission at Dragos is to protect the world's most critical infrastructure from adversaries who wish to do it harm.
