The Healthcare Data Analyst develops database objects and structures for data storage, retrieval and reporting as well as back-end database interfaces and import processes. The Data Analyst will gather customer requirements, assess integration and analysis opportunities, and design, build, and test SQL queries/views/tables, Stored Procedures, Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) components, SSRS or other reporting tool packages, and Crystal Reports or other RDBMS reporting deliverables. This position will support the data and systems ingestion, aggregation, and reporting needs of Frederick Health customers.Required: BS in Computer Science or Information Systems Management preferred. Minimum 3 years experience in Hospital Information Systems implementing and/or operating financial/clinical application software or relational database and reporting solutions preferred. Experience with claims & EMR data processing is a must. Familiar with SQL, SQL Management tools, MS Office, and Relational Database reporting software packages and their integration with networks, other systems, and hardware peripherals. Strong knowledge of current Microsoft operating systems and configuration of ODBC data sources and use of remote desktop tools. Knowledge and experience with applications, Client, Server, Networking, and operating systems standards. Ability to communicate effectively. Excellent software/ hardware troubleshooting and maintenance skills. Knowledge of Health Information Networking Systems and Data Communications. Experience with Value based programs /Population Health Analytics. Payor data file processing. Expert level SQL query and data wrangling experience. Deep understanding of claims data ( medical, enrollment, attribution). Expert level experience with excel and data visualization tools ( Microstrategy / Tableau). Quick ability to learn new technologies. Knowledge of developing and maintaining data architectures and data models. Experience with care management reporting and quality domain preferred.
