Deputy Director, MES - Millersville, MD Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Deputy Director at our Headquarters facility in Millersville, MD. The Deputy Director is appointed by the Director, with the consent of the Governor, and serves as a member of the Executive Staff. The Deputy supports the Director in leading the Agency to carry out its mission and pursue its vision. The Deputy also has specific responsibilities as assigned by the Director. Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution plus 20 years of management experience at progressively increased levels in administrative, government or professional work. Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points. The selected candidate will have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, the ability to speak effectively before various audiences, and strong organizational ability and time management and delegation skills. Preferred Qualifications include:A Master's degree in engineering, environmental science, the physical sciences, business, finance, policy, communications, or other related field is preferred.
