We take pride in meeting the individual needs of our students and fostering the independence of each child in a family-like environment of trust and warmth.We are looking for Assistant Teachers to join our infant and toddler, preschool, and elementary programs at multiple campuses in Montgomery County, including our locations in Germantown, Darnestown, Potomac, Rockville, and Bethesda! Applicants should be able to start work this summer 2021 (or sooner)!The essential functions of this job are:Supervision of children to assure the health, welfare, and safety of all studentsSupport the educational needs and interests of children using a creative and age-appropriate curriculumSupporting the physical, socio-emotional, and developmental needs of the children in the classroomRegular, predictable attendance and punctualityAdhering to all health and safety standards and protocols as part of COVID preventionDemonstrate effective communication skills and positive interpersonal relations with children, families, colleagues, and communitySupporting the classroom in a way that fosters a consistent, safe, and positive learning environment for all students and staffMonitor and take reasonable precautions to maintain the appropriate use and care of equipment, materials and facilitiesAdditional duties and responsibilities will apply to this position. Requirements: The requirements for this position are as follows:Educational credentials required for this position will depend upon campus and program age. At a minimum, applicants should hold a CDA certification, MSDE 90 hr certification, or MSDE 45 hr certification.Proficient technological skills to utilize various productivity tools (ie Outlook email, Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS, internet use, timekeeping systems, Kid Reports, ProCare Engage)Understanding of the principles of child development and teaching methodsPossess a personal demeanor that is warm, friendly, and cool-temperedExtremely reliable in attendance and punctualityMust be highly organized and able to prioritize and multi-taskMust be team-oriented and willing to work with othersPossess good communication skills
