The Informatics Specialist - Physician Liaison applies expert knowledge of health care to the management of data and information for physician/provider informatics support. The informatics Specialist is an integral part of a team that is responsible for planning, maintaining, testing and supporting the clinical information system (Care Excellence/Cerner Millennium). This includes cross-selling of hospital services and coordination of special physician programs (new staff orientation, and problem solving assistance, etc.)Qualifications:* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing* Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland* Minimum of 2 years' experience in healthcare field required* Experience with Cerner Millennium CPOE preferred* Computer proficiency in EHR, Windows, inter/intranet environments, and Microsoft Suite applications* Certification in field within 1 year of employment* Comprehensive communication and listening skills required. Able to probe for appropriate insights and information in conversations.* Understands and can convey technical information to physicians. * Awareness and ability to respond quickly to health care technology changes, and a desire to conceive and carry out innovative solutions.* Proficient in database development and maintenance and is comfortable performing basic quantitative analysis.* Possesses excellent communication skills and is extremely articulate.* Demonstrated ability to be self-directed* Project management skills* Strong leadership and organization skillsAt Adventist HealthCare our job is to care for you.
