As the LANDSCAPE ESTIMATOR, general duties would include review of RFP's, obtaining bid documents, estimating, and preparing bid proposals for commercial landscape construction projects in the private and public sector. Bid scopes will include but are not limited to earthwork, grading, drainage, planting, lawns, irrigation, site furnishings, play equipment, stone masonry, unit pavers, etc Successful candidates should posses the following: -Minimum 3-5 years experience estimating landscape, irrigation, and hardscape projects with values ranging from $100,000 to $3,000,000. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Thorough command of all estimating techniques. -Ability to review RFP's, bid documents, and communicate with GC's to define an appropriate scope of work to be bid. -Resourcefulness to produce budgetary estimates from schematic bid sets. -Analytical skills to review subcontractor bids and vendor quotes. -Ability to coordinate bidding of multiple projects simultaneously. -Composure to manage and meet tight deadlines while still producing 100 % accurate takeoffs and bids. -A meticulous approach to estimate reviews, as well as careful and detailed work habits to ensure estimate accuracy. -Good general computer knowledge, proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word), and experience with Blue Beam. -Capacity to work with Business Developer to produce competitive base bids, as well as appropriate value engineered alternatives and bid revisions. -Undergraduate degree in a related landscape or construction field a plus.
