Responsibilities

1. Helps develop, build, and maintain complex financial models. Analyzes financial statements and related data; develops presentations to inform and support short-term and long-term planning efforts across the Association.

2. Provides financial and business analysis and support for Financial Planning & Analysis at all levels within AARP, including Financial Planning Manager, Vice President - Financial Planning, and Sr. Vice President - Financial Planning and other cross functions groups.

3. Helps Financial Planning Manager with AARP's Multi-Year Financial Plan (MYFP) for AARP, Inc. and all related Affiliates. This rolling, three-year model is used to establish annual Budgets and spending authority for AARP's annual $1.8 billion Operating Expense Budget. Additionally, ensures compliance with the Board of Director's financial directives and legal/regulatory requirements. Partners closely with Enterprise Strategy AARP's annual strategic planning process, assuring alignment with the strategic planning and financial planning processes.

4. Completes and contributes to various analyses as needed, including revenue analysis, expense analysis, and various other trending analyses, ability to create visual presentations of evaluation process and results.

5. Manages and executes special projects, ad hoc analysis, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Prospective interns must be currently enrolled in a business/finance degree program at an accredited college or university, be considered rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, and remain academically enrolled throughout the internship.

Compensation and Benefits

Internships are non-exempt positions and are not eligible for employee benefits.
