The Mail Engineer - Lead will be supporting a contract with the Department of Transportation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the messaging support team and oversee all messaging services.
- Assist with designing and messaging architecture and implement enhancements.
- Assist with planning workloads, assigning projects, and overseeing all administrative tasks associated with the operations of the messaging system.
- Provide guidance and expertise to the team and assist with troubleshooting complex issues.
- Execute mail engineering and operational tasks daily.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree and 12+ years of experience supporting enterprise messaging services, with 5+ years managing and overseeing technical support teams OR
- High school diploma or GED and 16+ years of experience supporting enterprise messaging services, with 5+ years managing and overseeing technical support teams
- Active certification in Microsoft O365 or equivalent experience
- Background check required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work independently and yet be effective in a team setting
- Ability to manage multiple efforts with time related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
- Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
- Experience working in a home office setting
- Ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues
- Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone with good phone skills and a professional demeanor
- Previous customer service experience strongly desired
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it
