The Human Resources Director is responsible for providing human resources business partner support to the Corporate Office. The successful Director will partner with business leaders to align HR and business objectives with employees and management across the Corporate teams. The Director will formulate partnerships across various business units to deliver value-added service through engagement and leadership in performance management, talent acquisition, staffing data & analytics, and organizational design. The Director will also lead and develop a small team of HR professionals to provide day-to-day support for the Corporate team. Essential Job Duties* Partner with Corporate management/leadership and the Talent Acquisition teams to support the business development pipeline from a staffing perspective, develop clear and accurate job descriptions and support the recruiting and onboarding of new employees * Overhaul the onboarding and offboarding process for Corporate for an improved employee experience* Proactively support leadership in succession planning activities, including staff assessment, development, and contingency planning* Serve as an advocate for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE) initiatives, identify existing barriers or challenges within the work environment, and partner with the DE lead to develop and deploy solutions* Advise leadership on all compensation matters, including but no limited to base pay in conjunction with market data, bonus awards, and equity awards* Address employee relations issues that involve senior level staff, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, performance issues, or other employee concerns* Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations* Perform other duties as may be assigned by executive managementEducation and Experience Requirements* A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in related field, equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree* 10+ years of progressive HR business partner and/or HR management experience required* PHR/SHRM-CP preferred* Self-starter with the ability to navigate in an ambiguous environment* Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills* Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment* Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently* Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time* Occasionally lifts, carries, or otherwise moves items weighing up to 25 pounds* Work is constantly performed in an office environment Job Summary Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Act as a key advisor to the VP of Operations and other key members of the VP's direct staff.- Participate, as a member of the senior management team, in the development of Project business strategies and goals.- Translate business strategies and goals into human resources initiatives that ensure that employees have the skill sets and compensation systems necessary to support their implementation.- Direct recruitment and hiring efforts to ensure compliance with MAXIMUS policies, federal and state laws.- Direct the Human Resources staff in the performance of their duties, establishment of work priorities, and the implementation of management initiatives.- Utilize competency-based models to develop, evaluate and compensate Human Resources staff.- Participate with corporate Human Resources staff, as required, in the development and administration of benefits programs, compensation structures, compliance and reporting functions, performance management, new hire orientation, and employee relations.Minimum Requirements:- Direct and control the activities of a broad functional area through several department managers within the company. Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods.- Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company.- Participate in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people. Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.- Regularly interact with executives and/or major customers.
