**This position can be performed currently from a remote location in the U.S. but will require presence in a Freddie Mac office in the future.***

  • Our team is responsible for insuring that we comply with our Charter as well as with federal and state consumer protection laws.
  • We provide oversight to our business partners as they develop programs that serve the primary mortgage market.
  • We stand as the second line of defense as part of our Enterprise Risk Governance Framework.
  • We provide guidance and advice on regulatory impacts of business policies.
Your Impact:
You will bring compliance and affordable housing expertise and you will:
  • Build a 2LOD compliance program that oversees the compliance with the company's mission activities across Freddie Mac.
  • Manage Mission and Affordable Housing Goals related issues identified by the first or second line of defense.
  • Lead engagements with the first line of defense in your areas of expertise.
  • Exercise partnership and influencing skills to work with the first line in mitigating consumer protection compliance risks.
  • Lead the testing and monitoring of the firm's Affordable Housing Goals related obligations.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience with subject matter expertise in mortgage originations, multi-family lending, affordable housing, risk management, Compliance or mortgage related laws and regulations.
  • CRCM or other compliance designation preferred
  • Passionate about Freddie Mac's Mission related activities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience interacting with executive level customer personnel and frequently coordinating across organizational lines
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working effectively in a changing environment
