Responsibilities

This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administrator (DEA), Washington Division, Richmond District Office, Richmond Virginia.
This position(s) primary purpose is to support the Richmond District Office, ASAC. Sharing with the District Office ASAC the full scope of responsibilities for directing the activities of the District Office.

As a your typical work assignments may include:
  • Exercising supervisory/ managerial authorities over subordinate employees..
  • Planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules.
  • Responsible for the GSA Fleet Vehicle Program.
  • Performing a variety of personnel related duties such as recruitment, employment, employee orientation, employee
    benefits, performance ratings,, time and attendance, promotions.
  • Entering contractual data into the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS) .

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the Basic Requirement AND Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Qualification claims will be subject to verification.

You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent . Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience for this position includes:

GS:9: 1).managing a staff; 2). setting and adjusting short-term priorities; 3). providing support to management for an organization in the administrative management areas of procurement, personnel, vehicle, space and property management, and general office services.

OR
I have a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years graduate progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LLB or J.D., if related.

OR
A combination of both experience and education.

GS:11: 1 ). managing a staff ; 2). managing and planning work to be accomplished by subordinate,; 3). setting and adjusting short-term priorities;
4). providing support to management for an organization in the administrative management areas of procurement, personnel, vehicle, space and property management, and general office services; 5). entering contractual data into the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS); 6). advises management on all security matters.

I have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 04/08/2021Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09.
