You will serve as a DEPUTY, INFORMATION WARFARE DEPARTMENT in the Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command of the OFFICE OF THE COMMANDING GENERAL.

Responsibilities

  • You will oversee the requirements, personnel management, and training of Division Officers and other personnel to ensure optimization of support for information warfare.
  • You will monitor the daily operations and training of the Department.
  • You will conduct qualitative and quantitative assessments of programs, projects, tasks and activities assigned to and/or affecting the Command.
  • You will read, edit, and enforce implementation of all operation instructions and those command training related instructions affecting the Department.
  • You will ensure compliance with data calls from internal and external tasking authorities.
  • You will be responsible for briefing the Department on the capabilities and command positions to senior military and civilian officials of the DoD, and allied nations as directed.
  • You will review, process, and disseminate requisite course material, End of Course Reports, and other academic quality indicator documents periodically to ensure enforcement of standards.
  • You will provide administrative and technical advice to the Director of Operations and Training.
  • You will direct daily routine and work effort of all personnel.
  • This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • This position is Special Sensitive, which requires the incumbent to be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET SENSITVE COMPARTMENTALIZED INFORMATION (TS/SCI) Clearance.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to conduct training and exercise support for limited periods both ashore and aboard ship and occasionally, at sea (typically 30 days or less consecutively), not to exceed travel of more than 60 days per year.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) course development and sustainment; (2) budgetary, spend plan and POM processes; (3) amphibious operations, planning processes, and scenario development of courses and exercises relating to these areas; (4) joint and service tactics, techniques and procedures for military operations; (5) utilizing computer software, operating systems and hardware configurations used for collaboration at sea and amphibious and expeditionary force command and control; (6) integrating effective instruction techniques into periods of instruction; AND (7) Operations in the Information Environment (OIE), Information Operations (IO), and Information Warfare (IW).
