Summary

This position is located in the Division of Complex Institution Supervision & Resolution (CISR), Operations Branch of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in organizational change management and communication of CISR IT and security related processes.

Responsibilities

  • Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
  • Analyzes business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems.
  • Develops new strategies to mitigate organizational and human impacts of planned changes, and ensures new systems, applications, and processes are properly integrated with existing capabilities and functions.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and documents risks issues and communicates decisions.
  • Performs research on any reported problem, plans, proposes solutions, advocates software and systems, coordinates the problem solving process, and ensures that the business standards and business/functional requirements being addressed and documented.
  • Gathers requirements, creates and maintains reports and provides detailed analysis of the data. Provides detailed analysis of data from various sources and reports on the findings.
  • Collaborates with business lines to identify, document, and specify business requirements for new or enhanced systems and processes.
  • Works with end-users to identify, design, test, and implement applications in support of core business operations; document applications features and provide cross-functional training as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 13 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as organizing or leading organizational change initiatives, analyzing business processes and information systems, gathering and reporting information to key stakeholders, and developing and overseeing implementation strategies for a program office or agency.

Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors - if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.
