Are you passionate about public policy and supporting critical research through fundraising? Do you want to develop your fundraising experience and learn how a think tank operates? AEI is fully funded by the generosity of individuals, foundations, and corporations that invest in our mission to bolster free enterprise, defend our nations values, and revitalize America's leadership in the world. As the development assistant at the American Enterprise Institute, you will work closely with a talented team of fundraising professionals to cultivate donor relationships, share scholars' work with supporters, and manage critical database projects to strengthen AEI's strategic outreach.

About AEI:

The American Enterprise Institute, located in Washington, DC, is one of America's premier think tanks. AEI is dedicated to defending human dignity, expanding human potential, and building a freer and safer world. The work of our scholars and staff advances ideas rooted in our belief in democracy, free enterprise, American strength and global leadership, solidarity with those at the periphery of our society, and a pluralistic, entrepreneurial culture.

About the development assistant position:

In this position, you will support AEI's fundraising team to create, cultivate, and sustain relationships with donors and prospects to generate major gifts for AEI. You will also manage and execute critical projects for donor strategic outreach, such as email communications, large mailings, donor research, and database management. This role offers a great opportunity for anyone interested in expanding on or developing their passion for nonprofit fundraising in conjunction with public policy.
