Summary

Cybersecurity Directorate Counterintelligence Psychologists apply their professional skills to the agency mission. You will provide direct support to, identify research and operational psychology gaps to advance the field of operational psychology. You will engage with other members of the US IC and Second Party partners to further the incorporation of behavioral sciences in mission. Experience conveying insight to decision-makers/ leadership is essential.

Responsibilities

Counterintelligence Psychologists help protect NSA personnel, facilities, and missions by collecting, analyzing, and/or synthesizing information associated with psychologically relevant mission, counterintelligence, counterespionage, and/or counter-terrorism information as it affects NSA equities worldwide. They apply advanced clinical psychology skills to these analyses and communicate analyses and recommendations to managers, investigators, and other appropriate customers.

When appropriate, Counterintelligence Psychologists also develop and implement specific, tailored countermeasures and countermeasure programs and participate in related Intelligence Community (IC), Defense Department, and professional fora to foster and advance behavioral science as related to NSA mission.

U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants. All applicants and employees are subject to random drug testing in accordance with Executive Order 12564. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a security background investigation and polygraph.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $103,690 - $159,286 (Senior)
**The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position.

Entry is with a Doctoral degree plus 2 years of relevant experience. Degree must be in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.

Relevant experience must be as a NSA psychologist or as a counterintelligence or operational psychologist, preferably within the Intelligence Community (at least 2 years must be after receipt of required degree), and include formal leadership. Exposure to NSA mission, consultation to NSA security, and/or American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) Diplomat in clinical, forensic, or organizational psychology is preferred.

Salary Range: $144,128-$172,500 (Expert)
