Stone Mattheis Xenopoulos & Brew, PC, a long-standing Washington, D.C. law firm, seeks a junior to mid-level associate to join our national energy and regulatory practice.  The position offers a terrific opportunity to work on creative solutions to our clients’ complex regulatory and business challenges in a collaborative, small firm environment.

The firm is seeking a highly-motivated individual, preferably with some or all of the following skills and qualifications:

  • Work experience in energy law (including experience in private practice or with state or federal regulatory commissions)
  • Excellent academic credentials and participation on law review or other journal in law school and/or moot court competition
  • Strong analytical, writing, communication, research and interpersonal skills (including proficiency with spreadsheet analysis)
  • Experience with and/or educational training in engineering, accounting, economics, consulting, finance, business, public utilities, regulation or energy-related concepts
