As a Hearing Tech and Unit Secretary you will:
• Complete universal hearing screens on all newborns in accordance with the recommendations of the Joint Committee on Infant Hearing (2019) and MD Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) Program.
• Prepare the master and individual therapist schedule
• Answer & direct phone calls, fax and photocopy.
• Clean Rehab equipment as needed.

Qualifications include:
• Minimum of High School Diploma required
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word specifically)
• Independent workers with strong organizational and communication skills.
*Previous experience with neonates or babies is desirable.

Work Schedule:

This position is to provide as needed coverage on day shifts for either a Hearing Tech or the Unit Secretary.

Rehab Unit Secretary hours scheduled as needed M-F 7A-3:30.

Hearing Tech hours scheduled as needed 8A-2P; occasional weekend need 8a-12p

Tobacco and Drug Statement

Tobacco use is a well-recognized preventable cause of death in the United States and an important public health issue. Those testing positive are given the opportunity to re-apply in 90 days, if they can truthfully attest that they have not used any nicotine products in the past ninety (90) days and successfully pass follow-up testing.
