Fort Washington Medical Center seeks to hire a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a MT/MLT you will:
• Be responsible for collecting, accessioning, and performing the requested tests from inpatients and outpatients.
• Perform quality control, preventive maintenance, troubleshoot problems and operate the assigned equipment to ensure results.
• Participate in continuing education, comply with the hospital and departmental procedures and policies, and assist physicians and nurses when necessary.

Qualified candidates will possess:
• 2 or 4 year Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science; or Bachelor's Degree in
Biological or Chemical Science; or Accredited Military institution.
• 2 years as Generalist able to work Blood Bank with minimal supervision.
• Certification by nationally recognized accrediting agency required.
• Strong customer service and computer skills
• Able to handle a multi-task environment and work independently
• Medicine Technologists must demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy and physiology, chemistry, mathematics, and pharmacology.

In order to promote and maintain a healthy work environment, Adventist HealthCare will not hire applicants for employment who either state that they are nicotine users or who test positive for nicotine and drug use.
