Dewberry is currently seeking an Applications Specialist Intern to join our Information Technology Group in our Fairfax, VA office to provide support for our enterprise applications. This is an excellent career opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join and support a team of other outstanding professionals and will report to the IT Applications Manager.

Responsibilities

Support Dewberry's Application Team by providing:
  • Support for the data integrity / data quality throughout applications
  • Support the improvement of enterprise applications
    • Maintaining and troubleshooting applications
    • Application/database enhancements
    • Application/data integration
    • Writing SQL Queries and Reports
  • Support the development of systems to parallel overall business strategies


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, or related field
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work in a team environment
  • Proactive in accomplishing tasks
  • Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous deadlines
  • Professional demeanor
  • Experience working in Microsoft programs (Word and Excel)
  • Experience working in a database preferred, but not necessary.
