Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group has partnered with a global leader in broadband satellite technology currently seeking a Director of Manufacturing Operations who will strive for excellence and results in a fast pace electronic manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing all manufacturing operations. Candidate will translate customer requirements into state-of-art manufacturing strategies and processes, resulting in cost-effective processing and profitable manufacturing of company goods.

Responsibilities:
  • Strong engineering skills, with detail understanding of multiple manufacturing lines (Surface Mount Technology and Box Build lines)
  • Develop and execute continuous improvement efforts to improve efficiency and utilization of production lines
  • Oversee the allocation of personnel, material and equipment resources to meet the daily objective
  • Plan, direct and coordinate the manufacturing of products in strict compliance with company goals and objectives.
  • Effective management of the production departments and operations engineering group
  • Manage multi-shift production operations to meet daily schedules at the optimum level of productivity and quality.
  • Provide management and leadership to supervisors
  • Defines goals, improves technologies and resolves manufacturing problems

Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or manufacturing technology discipline
  • 10+ years of experience working in an electronics manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior leadership role in an Electronics Manufacturing Service facility

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in electrical/manufacturing engineering
  • Experience within a lean manufacturing environment with demonstrated results and oriented leadership leading to continuous cost, quality and productivity improvement
  • Demonstrated success with Six-Sigma or other problem-solving methodologies in a production environment.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of electronics manufacturing processes
  • Hands on experience with production test software and hardware development
  • Good analytical and communication skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of SAP software
